More than 300 People Were Shot in Chicago on Halloween?

A website ‘Celebtricity’ published an article on 1^st November 2015 with a title that ‘318 People Shot on Halloween in the city of Chicago and Obamae Declared an Emergency in the U.S’. The article indicated that at least 300 people have been shot in which 97 people were dead in shootings on the Halloween night 2015 in the city of Chicago, and a large number of people said it as the Halloween Purge. The article further added that these figures are much higher compared to the Halloween event of 2014 in which at least 135 people were wounded and 40 were dead in shootings in the United States.

This October on the Halloween event more than 450 people were wounded and 140 were dead by gunshots in the United States. When we started search about truthfulness of this story, we surprised that this story is false. The website ‘Celebtricity’ disclaimer identified about their website as a false news site and most of their articles, stories and contents are just for entertainment purpose only. It is also important that ‘Celebtricity.com is considered a prominent satirical entertainment site with most shocking news and stories in order to bring more visitors on their website. Previous fake shocking stories were included, NBA star Michael Jordan was indifferent to violence sparked by a line of shoes with his name, sex dolls are being marketed for Pedophiles, a couple supposedly arrested for selling real estate on the moon and a tall tale regarding a Wendy’s worker who added bodily fluids in food served to customer.
