Several Wildfires in Western States of the U.S Forced Thousands Evacuation

On Tuesday, the spreading wildfire in Oregon has covered various metropolitan areas of Portland with ash and forced to close a large portion of highway through the scenic Columbia River Gorge of the state. It is one of the various wildfires burning in the western states in the United States. The growing wildfire sent smoke into cities from Seattle to Denver and initiated health warnings as well as cancellation of various outdoor activities for children by various schools in the districts. The National Interagency Fire Center in Boise, Idaho has indicated that 80 heavy fires were burning on 2,200 sq. miles in 9 western states. At least 16 sq. miles fire in the east of Portland forced hundreds people to evacuate their homes.

On Monday overnight, the wildfire rapidly grew and gave authorities a short amount of time to warn the residents of river side in Oregon to leave their homes. A spokesman for the Department of Transportation in Oregon, Dave Thompson indicated a closure of one section of interstate 84 due to thick smoke with ash dropping and it was expanded 50 miles east of Portland. The residents of Oregon have covered their faces to protect themselves from smoke and ash falling on them. One home reported burned and at least one thousand people were evacuated due to high winds fed the flames in the canyon North of Salt Lake City. A fire in the Glacier National Park in Montana also emptied its famous & busiest tourist spot. A wind-fueled fire made its way deeper into grove of 2,700 years old giant sequoia trees on Labor Day in the Yosemite National Park outside California.
