China will hit back the United States because the U.S President Trump recently announced new tariffs of 200 billion U.S dollars on Chinese products. The MOFCOM (Chinese Ministry of Commerce) issued a statement on Tuesday that China doesn’t have any choice but to retaliate. The ministry said in a statement that China will hit back as a response in order to secure its legitimate rights & interests and free world trade order.

China will hit back at Trump's $200 billion tariffs

It is still unclear that what kind of hit back will take place. The Chinese ministry formerly threatened tariffs on the U.S products and items worth 60 billion U.S dollars. It clearly indicates that at least 85 to 95 percent of American imports from China will subject to a tariff. The Trump administration has ordered the U.S Trade Representative to implement a tariff on Chinese goods worth 200 billion U.S dollars. The recent decision from the U.S government will expand the U.S-China trade war.

The new tariffs clearly indicate that more than half of Chinese items coming from the U.S will be subjected to the new tariffs. Trump said in a statement that the United States urged China to change their unfair practices. Trump said in a statement that new move would provide a fair and reciprocal treatment to American companies. He added that the U.S is very clear regarding the type of changes that are essential. The United States has offered various opportunities to treat fairly with us. It is important that tariffs imposed by Trump threaten to disrupt plans to send Chinese top economic adviser to the United States for trade talks.
