Why FBI Lawyers confirmed the Termination of Donald Trump?

Some unnamed senior officials at the FBI and U.S Justice Department have discussed to push out Donald Trump from office, following the two more witnesses in secret Congressional hearings. Andrew McCabe (former acting head of the FBI) said earlier this week. He said that there had been conversations at the top echelons of the government about invoking the 25th Amendment to remove Trump after he dismissed FBI director James Comey in the month of May 2017.

McCabe informed CBS News officials at the Justice Department had held meetings. They discussed how they might recruit the vice-president and a majority of Cabinet ministers into voting to force Trump to quit. Most U.S media outlets have reported that at least 2 FBI lawyers have confirmed this report during private testimony before a Congressional committee.

James Baker worked as the FBI’s most senior lawyer during the Comey episode. He reportedly said about the oversight and judiciary committees during behind-closed-doors questioning in October. He had been informed at the time about the plans to depose Trump. Bloomberg also indicated that another lawyer Sally Moyer who worked at the FBI has also confirmed at private hearings she was in meetings when the topic was discussed. Section four of the amendment allows the removal of a sitting U.S president if the vice-president and a majority of the Cabinet declare him unable to discharge the powers and duties of his office.

Rod Rosenstein (the deputy attorney general) was allegedly leading the conversations regarding the 25^th Amendment. Rosenstein has denied that he ever tried to organize Cabinet officials to invoke the provision. He also denied claims he suggested he could wear a wire to record potentially incriminating meetings with Trump. A statement issued from the U.S Justice Department, “As the deputy attorney general previously has stated, based on his personal dealings with the president, there is no basis to invoke the 25th Amendment, nor was Rosenstein in a position to consider invoking the 25th Amendment”.
