The head scientist for Alexa Artificial Intelligence, Rohit Prasad shared information in a demo. He said it is the kid’s grandma’s voice, instead of Alexa’s voice reading a book, as people experience in the demo. Moreover, Prasad presented the video clip and said that AI systems are of increasing importance with adding human identity.

Amazon Could Make This Feature Public Soon

He said most of us have lost someone we love in these times of ongoing epidemic. The new invention in AI will obviously make their memories last, but it will not terminate the pain of loss. Moreover, Amazon hasn’t offered any indication if the company will make this new feature public. But the company said AI systems can learn to mimic someone’s voice with only a single minute of recorded audio.

It clearly indicates that the invention is well within the average consumer’s reach to duplicate the voices of loved ones. He said the ear has started to clone the voices of substantial voice notes. However, this extraordinary application is still controversial. Most social media users call the feature terrifying and an abnormality. Keep in mind that such AI voice mockery has become more common.

Various Industries are Using the Cloning Feature

Meanwhile, these replicas are commonly known as audio deep-fakes in recent years. These applications are already and regularly used in various industries such as TV & film, video games, and podcasting. Various audio recording collections are offering the option to users to duplicate individual voices using their recordings.

A sound engineer has the ability to edit by just typing in a new script. It is possible if a podcast host botches his or her line in that way. Cloning lines of seamless speech needs more work, but it is possible with a few clicks and very small work. Moreover, the filmmaking industry is also using similar technology in most recent productions.

Chatbots are Some of the Voice Cloning Examples

A documentary was released last year about the life of Chief Anthony Bourdain. Moreover, he died in 2018 the documentary used AI to clone his voice to read quotes he sent in emails. Many people were outraged with the technology and applications and called it “demoniac” and “guileful”. Some of them defended the use of this technology because it was used in documentaries and other restorations.

Alexa Artificial Intelligence head said this feature would allow customers to have enduring personal relationships with the deceased. He added it is definitely true that there are many people around the world using AI to get the benefits. Most businesses have already created chatbots that mimic dead loved ones.

Various companies are also offering AI-based training on their stored conversations. They are successfully adding original voices to these systems or even video avatars. However, it is entirely possible using the recent AI technology, and is more feasible to become universal. Customers around the world need their dead loved ones to become digital AI figures.
