Is CIA Director John Brennan a Muslim?
John Brennan was nominated by the U.S President Barak Obama on 7th January 2013 as the Director of CIA and sworn in for his post on 8th March 2013. Just after one month, in the February a rumor started circulation regarding alleged conversation of Brennan about Islam during the period when he was appointed in the year 1990 in Saudi Arabia. A large number of lawmakers such as Rand Paul have showed their objections regarding the nomination of Brennan. It delayed confirmation of Brennan due to his previous sanctioning regarding the use of drones. But, a trimming objection rose outside the expressway, where the serving fitness of Brennan was questioned because he was allegedly becoming a Muslim during his posting in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
This claim was refueled when Brennan was sworn in his office, but not on a Bible instead used a copy of the Constitution. The rumor regarding conversation of Brennan about Islam joined after a radio broadcast on 9th February 2013, in which former agent of FBI John Guandolo imposed upon the impeachment. We have found that it is true that John Brennan was sworn into office with a copy of the U.S Constitution instead of a Bible. But, it shouldn’t be considered a perfect evidence of any specific religious attachment. He just used a copy of Constitution as an option rather than a Bible. There is another more logical answer that John Brennan doesn’t have a strong faith at all, or he might believe that Constitution is higher than the religion to perform his duties as the CIA head.
