The acting CEO of the network Rupert Murdoch has confirmed the resignation of Shine in an email and said, “Most of us know that Bill was respected and liked by everyone at Fox News, and nobody can be his alternate”. Murdoch also confirmed that Suzanne Scott will be the new president of programming division of the network and Jay Wallace will be the president for news division. Shine had supposedly been named in more than 4 lawsuits blaming Ailes for involving in harassing and discrimination behavior. The former host Andrea Tantaros said in a lawsuit that Shine & other executives in the company used some tools & computer/telephony, allied media, social media and secret scrutiny against her, but the attorneys of Fox network have rejected the allegations. The top-rated commentator of Fox News Bill O’Reilly also left the network on 19th April 2017 due to a heap of sexual harassment settlements and his show lost at least half advertisers within a week.
