The unfortunate violence took place at a rally of Black Lives Matter (BLM) in Dallas on 7th July 2016. At least 5 police officers were dead and many injured in this incident. The suspect was killed with a bomb robot. Several violence incidents in Dallas became flashpoint for a number of people from different political aspects due to the clash between reproachful physical force of BLM activists and police officers. There were a number of posts regarding the incident, but some Facebook posts got more attention of the viewers, such as a viral post on Facebook by a black police officer named Jay Stalien. His Facebook profile mentioned that he had left his job from Baltimore Police Department in 2014 and he is currently working in Riviera Beach, Florida.

He explained about his experiences as working a black police officer in his post published on 9th July 2016. A large number of online readers asked about the authenticity of Stalien’s comments because his statement was regarding his personal experience and personal opinions. His statement should be technically referred to fact-checking because his maximum statement was reflecting his personal feelings. Stalien said in his Facebook post that “I am a young African-American born and grew in Brooklyn, NY and I needed to join as a police cop. I watched and lived in criminal environment; it gave me more help in joining because my own black people community was killing other people over nothing. I saw gathering of bad guys and heroin addicted people in the lobby of my building. I heard gunshot at one night; I went out and saw that two African-American were shooting at each other”.
