Farmhand Protesters Met on the Border Fence of U.S and Canada

An expression on both sides of the border between the Mexico and the United States took place in the Valle de San Quintin, for making better working environment for the farm workers of Mexico. Valle de San Quinting is a region in the Mexican State of Baja California and it is supplying a large amount of Tomatoes and Strawberries to North America. The farm-workers or farmhands have protested against lower pay and widespread inhumane working conditions. Currently they are getting estimated amount of 7-10 U.S dollars per day. This movement got a boost in the last year when workers left their jobs to protest in the month of March 2015. They protested on the streets and faced a number of police violence.

It is important that hundreds of farm-workers and their supporters spent a number of days by walking from San Quintin to the border point of the United States and Mexico and divides San Diego from Tijuana. This event took place in order to bring attention of their cause and in paying tribute at the first anniversary of their strike. Their first strike took place in the month of March 2015. In this protest, the protesters we met their supporters on the United States side at the fence of the border. It is said that a young Mexican protester squeezed through the bars of border wall and planted the anarcho-syndicalist flags on the U.S beach side. It is important that the small town Baja of San Quintin provides a large amount of vegetables and fruits to Canada and the United States.
