Film & TV Star Debbie Reynolds has passed away at 84

On 28th December 2016, longtime film and television star Debbie Reynolds has died at the age 84. She has died just after one day after the death of her daughter and fellow actress Carrie Fisher. The death of Reynolds was announced few hours after she was hospitalized in Los Angeles. Her son, Todd Fisher informed to CNN that she was experiencing breathing trouble and shifted to hospital for medical treatment. He further said that “My mother has passed away a short time ago. She said to me early in the morning that she is missing Carrie, but now she is with Carrie”. She scored No. 1 single in 1952 by singing “Singing in the Rain” and made a gold record five years later. This gold record was later added in her film “Tammy & the Doctor”.

After starring in “The Unsinkable Molly Brown”, she was selected for Academy Award nominee for Best Actress in 1964. She was nominated for five times between 1951 and 1997 for a Golden Globe award. Reynolds worked in a Comedy Series and her work on the NBC sitcom “Will & Grace”, and nominated in 2000 for an Outstanding Guest Actress for the Emmy Award. The last post of Reynolds on her official Twitter account was appeared on 25th December 2016 regarding the health of her daughter. She added in her post that “Carrie is in good condition. If there is a change, we will share it, for all her fans & friends. I think you for your prayers and best wishes”.
