Just because of its plan of payment, the corporation Rightscorp was hauled into the court. The ISPs cooperating with the corporation are noted to be stable at 15 % approximately. Unfortunately Google Fiber seems to be like that cooperating ISP.
As a result of the complaint made by Rightscorp, gigabit subscribers to the service are now getting notifications from the Google directly.
Google defends these actions by confirming that the information is not directly shared with the complaining company. The Google sends the notifications in the first place. But Rightscorp’s actions are suspicious to be legal.
From Righthaven to Prenda Law, some other business models based on IP addresses pressing suits against users have also imploded presently. Rightscorp depends on fishing expeditions and contacts an ISP having a complete record of IP addresses. It then demands contact information of the subscriber.
Google threats to disconnect the users involved in the infringing activities. But these threats are a headache for the users who are falsely accused because they have no way to protest.
