Health Committee of the U.S House Approved the use of Medical Marijuana
The health committee of the U.S House of Representatives approved a bill and advocates of medical marijuana showed their high spirits. This bill allows the use of cannabis in the treatment of chronic or devastating health conditions. On Monday, the House panel undisputedly approved the draft report of committee on the supposed Philippine Compassionate Medical Cannabis Act following massive consultations with advocacy group, health-care practitioners, experts, and patients in the regulation of controlled ingredients. The principle author of the measure, Rodolfo Albano III said that there is a high morale due to the bill will finally reach plenary meeting. The bill will be debated and presented to the House of Representatives for approval in a plenary session. President Rodrigo Duterte has shown his support for the use of marijuana as medical purposes.
He also said that there are various developed medicines in the market containing marijuana just for medical purposes, but he opposed the recreational marijuana. Albano said that the supposed law is substituted House Bill No. 180 will be regulated and legalized for the medical purpose of cannabis. He added that former House leadership ignored his actual bill, but current U.S administration has given a priority to his proposed bill. Various clinical trials have mentioned the potential medical effects regarding the use of cannabis, including anxiety management, cancer prevention, control of muscle spasms and tremors, and to slowdown the progression of Alzheimer disease. The cannabis oil contains medicinally potent ingredients of marijuana plant. The PDEA will play a major role in regulating and monitoring the dispensation of medical marijuana in medical facilities.
