An ongoing political crisis motivated Venezuelans to come into the streets to demonstrate regarding a move by the Supreme Court of the country to peel off the powers of Congress. The Supreme Court ordered on 29th March 2017 to hold its National Assembly in stripe and dishonor the body of its powers. But, after strong domestic and international dissatisfaction of the move due to non-constitutional basis, the court pulled back its decision on 1st April 2017. It is important that Venezuela is experiencing critical political & economic crisis. It massively caused heavy loss of oil revenue and it led to widespread hunger, hyperinflation, insecurity and shortage of medicine. Most of the people have lost faith in President Nicolas Maduro.
Point to be noted that opposition parties had conquered a majority of seats in the lawmaking, but the Supreme Court of the country has ordered against them again & again to keep them ineffective. So, the opposition attempted to block the efforts of President Maduro to enhance cash flow by individually making deals with international companies, especially with Russians. A declaration was approved by the opposition majority on 5th April 2017 in the National Assembly. They mentioned that Venezuela is suffering an overthrow and started legal process of terminating justices of the Supreme Court. It is important that demonstrators were gathered at 7 meeting places on 6th April 2017. Point to be noted that trend was posted on most Venezuelan Twitter accounts when demonstrators uploaded videos & photographs displaying heavy crowds and police conflicts.
