Is Jericho the Lion Also Killed

The famous 13 year old lion the Cecil was killed in the month of July 2015 by an American dentist Walter Palmer. The Zimbabwe Conservation Task Force (ZCTF) published a post on Facebook on 1^st August that the brother of Cecil, Jericho has also been killed, but the Jericho the lion appeared alive. The Jericho the lion is considered as brother of killed the Cecil lion. Different sources issued their stories and statements regarding the lion Jericho. The ZCTF said that this was also sad and heartbroken news that the lion Jericho has been killed at 4 pm on 2^nd August 2015.

This news was spread online as fire in a jungle by some unauthentic sources such as Bhejane Trust, but we have found this precious the Jericho is alive and well and the killed lion was another lion. Most of the channels announced fake news regarding the brother of Cecil the lion, the Jericho lion. This fake news confirmed by parks investigation that another lion killed near the park on 2^nd July 2015. The Jericho lion is still alive and living in the Zimbabwe National Park. The officials of the Wildlife also confirmed that the Jericho lion is still alive and healthy in Hwange National Park.

NPR also confirmed that Jericho is not Cecil’s brother. Dr. Andrew working on a research project in Hwange as a part of the Wildlife Conservation Research Unit in the Oxford department of Zoology issued a statement that we putted collars on both Cecil and Jericho lions. The Cecil and Jericho lions were not brothers but most of the male lions lives together in order to confirm hold in their territories.
