The British news outlet “The Telegraph” published an article on 10th May 2016 and reported that a teenager resident of Canada discovered a lost “Mayan City” by using satellite map. The posted article was unable to get confidence of readers with this claim because a number of history experts are studying missing historical places and things, but now an untrained teenager has discovered a lost city. Point to be noted that another study was inspired in 2012 about last day insights of Mayan. The article of “The Telegraph” collected information from an article report published on 7th May 2016. This article was taken from a French website “Journal de Montréal”.

It is important that both articles reported the same claim. Both articles were unable to provide explanation that how a wondrous discovery can be reputed. The tech website of Gawker “Gizmodo” was considered the first news outlet with this news story. an anthropologist from the University of Southern California, Thomas Garrison made an assessment and said that the supposed Maya ruins were basically a fallow cornfield. It was also included in the article of “Gizmodo” in its update. Some archeologists also said that the supposed website was already discovered and mapped. This story was also circulated widely on most of the social media websites.
