Ride-sharing service Lyft carried a large amount of passengers in the month of June 2017 as compared to Uber. Lyft issued a statement on Monday that the company surpassed the record in June with 162.5 million rides and it is equivalent to its entire rides of 2016. The company has made its value due to there are a large number of people avoiding Lyft’s much powerful competitor Uber. Point to be noted that both companies are based in San Francisco. Uber is currently working without a CEO because the co-founder of Uber, Travis Kalanick stepped down in June from the board. He made this decision when international law firms initiated investigations and exposed widespread sexual harassment incidents at the company.

Former CEO was also captured in video in a vulgarity-looped anger toward an Uber driver. The company is currently under U.S federal investigation for supposedly using software to frustrate city inspectors trying to monitor Uber drivers. New appointment for Uber CEO hasn’t gone calmly. On Thursday, the CEO of Hewlett Packard Enterprise, Meg Whiteman has announced that she hasn’t yet decided to accept the job. Some media outlets reported that some board members are now considering bringing outgoing CEO of General Electric, Jeffrey Immelt. It was also reported by the New York Times that Kalanick will serve for an operational role for the company. Lyft didn’t comment about Uber, but the company has indicated that Lyft has planned to add 160 U.S cities by the end of current year.
