U.S President Donald Trump mocked a senior Democrat Adam Schiff as Pencil-neck and a Deranged Human Being. House Speaker has announced Schiff will lead the case against him in the President’s Impeachment Trial in the U.S Senate. The U.S Congressman Adam Schiff is Chair of the House Intelligence Committee. He was named as one of the managers for the U.S Senate impeachment trial process. The impeachment trial is expected during the next week. Pelosi also looking to send a message to Vladimir Putin as Russian-backed groups are alleged of spreading chaos on social media. The U.S is now preparing for 2020 elections after investigations announce the depth of 2016 interference.

Adam Schiff will lead the Impeachment Trial process in the Senate

Pelosi said this is about the Constitution of the United States, and it’s important for the president to know and for Putin to know that voters in America should decide the U.S President, not Vladimir Putin and Russia”. She is the one among other Democratic leaders making the case to remove Trump from his office. It is noteworthy that the House impeached Trump on 18 December 2019. Jerry Nadler presided over the House impeachment vote. Pelosi also announced that Zoe Lofgren, Hakeem Jeffries, Val Demings, Jason Crow, and Sylvia Garcia will join the congressmen in order to present the very strong case in the Senate for the president’s impeachment and removal.

Point to be noted that the trial marks Lofgren’s 3rd impeachment. Lofgren participated in proceedings against former presidents Richard Nixon and Bill Clinton. Pelosi defended her decision to withhold articles of impeachment against the president amid the House vote last month. She also pointed out additional damning evidence that has surfaced in the following weeks. It clearly proves that the U.S President was a key player in the scheme. Trump pressurized Ukrainian President to investigate his political rivals Joe Biden in exchange for millions of dollars in already-approved military aid. Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell has boasted that he is in total coordination with the White House. He also attacked the process and House charges against the U.S President.
