The GTC 2022 (Graphics Technology Conference 2022) of Nvidia has now closed. Most investors were found unimpressed with the company’s announcements. Nvidia earlier promised to empower its AI (artificial intelligence) offerings and the creation of a supercomputer for advanced robotics.

Nvidia also confirmed the expansion of its virtual reality Omni-verse and other attractive announcements. The company was expecting a boost with already good stock but actually failed to convince the investors of Wall Street.

Nvidia Stock

It’s just that they were largely expected, but failed to convince the investors of Wall Street to shift their price objectives. However, it was changed on Friday at 11 am ET, as Nvidia stock increased 5.8%. The Market-Watch now reported the company has predicted a $1 trillion opportunity for investors in various major areas for semiconductor growth.

The Expectations in Total Market Worth

However, Nvidia is expecting a total considerable market worth of $300 billion for sales of automotive chips. Around $300 billion more from systems and sales of other chips, and $150 billion are expected from selling AI enterprise software. The company is looking for $150 million from Omniverse enterprise software and $100 billion in annual revenue from video gaming services.

Nvidia has become the largest manufacturer of the GPU (graphics processing unit) in the world. The gaming systems first used the GPU chip to accelerate graphics. The company later discovered new implementation cases for the GPU. Nvidia also focused on autonomous vehicles, 3D videos illustration, Artificial Intelligence, digital twins, genomics, and various others.

Hopper H100 Systems of NVIDIA

The company announced a new Hopper H100 chip at GTC 2022. The new chip uses the latest architecture aimed at the engine for a widely accessible AI infrastructure. The silicon chip features a tremendous 80B transistor and adds a new engine. It is actually designed to train and inference transformer engines.

It uses a transformer as a neural network to transform Artificial Intelligence based on a concept with a simple knowledge of AI. The concept is also called Attention. It points out a place where every piece of data attempts to understand.

However, the chip alone offers extraordinary processing capability. The chip alone provides massive processing capability, while NV Link of Nvidia connects multiple GPUs together. It can efficiently and powerfully create one bigger GPU with 4.9 Tbps of external bandwidth.

What is AI Enterprise 2.0?

Nvidia has enabled enterprise AI with the best approaches in the multi-layer model. The AI Infrastructure is the bottom layer with various systems like DGX, HGX, EGX, and various GPUs and DPUs. The company offers all the essential operating systems and software to allow developers to work with the hardware.

These OS and software include the RAPIDS, CUDA, TAO, Tensor Flow, Triton Interference Server, and many others. Moreover, the top layer contains a group of pre-built AI systems for specific purposes.

It allows software vendors and enterprises to utilize these features to provide new innovative capabilities. Most of the auto-manufacturers such as Mercedes and Jaguar are using the Drive platforms for autonomous vehicles.

The Expansions of Omniverse to the Clouds

The Omniverse of Nvidia is a combination and simulation engine that follows the entire rules of physics. Various companies are using this option to create a virtual version of an object. Moreover, teaching a robot can be done virtually with Omniverse after uploading data and providing the walking capability to a robot.

Nvidia announced Omniverse Cloud at GTC 2022 and made the simulation engine available for streaming cloud service. However, you need a powerful system to run Omniverse. It can now run on any computing device, tablet, or Chromebook as a cloud service. The 2nd announcement was the OVX Computing System as a data with a center-scale system for industrial-related digital twins.
