A website “USPOLN” published an article on 3rd March 2017 containing a number of quotes supposedly delivered by the U.S Senator Paul Ryan. A statement in the article was specifically regarding the birth control. He said that “If there was a legal way for having intercourse without getting pregnant then God would have added in His Holly Books”. The article was focused on providing portions of a debate between CNN host Jake Tapper and Ryan. The initial paragraph simulated a legal exchange between Tapper and Ryan took place on 13th November 2016 regarding reform of health care and birth control. Point to be noted that entire article except the above mentioned portion was entirely altered. Paul Ryan never said that “I’m not a preacher or holly man, but the fact to the matter of Obama care is bad for our economy”.
Paul Ryan didn’t deliver any statement during his CNN interview on 13th November 2016 with Jake Trapper or at any other event, but mentioned in the article. The USPOLN bills also considered as a “Hybrid” website often publishing a combination of Satire and Correct news. But, dissimilar to the other Hybrid websites like Newslo, which permit its users to click a button and making it public that which areas or segment of the articles are correct and which are false. The SUPOLN also provided information to users without any mechanism for bringing together between original and fabricated. In this case, the initial paragraph should be highlighted as “True” and remaining article should be marked as “Satire”.
