Six Thousand Muslim Migrants were Arrested at the U.S.-Mexico border

A website “Conservative Daily Post” published an article on 24^th October 2016 and reported by collecting information of other conservative publications. The website indicated by republishing a news report of 16^th August 2016 regarding cross-Mexico migration of people from outside America and other continents. Initially, the article indicated about the Southern border of Mexico with Guatemala, which is not on the border of U.S-Mexico. There wasn’t any Official Report or reliable media report indicating that more than 6 thousand Islamic Aliens have been pushed behind the bars by the U.S agents. The published information was seemingly brought together from other conservative websites such as Conservative Tribune and Breitbart. Both websites often uses headlines with misleading information.

The website Conservative Tribune indicated that 6 thousand Muslims have crossed Southern border and Breitbart mentioned that thousands of Illegal Immigrants from Middle East busted with fake papers at the border. Both publications linked their stories with a report of Reuters, but originally it wasn’t correct. The original report by the Reuters indicated that the U.S agents were sent to the border of Southern Mexico to vet 640 migrants from different countries outside America. Reuters also reported that 6,342 migrants from Asia, Africa and Middle East were taken into custody by the authorities of Mexico. Those people were trying to enter in the Mexico in the first half of 2016. But, reports of Reuters didn’t mention about their religion as claimed by the above mentioned websites. So, the claim was a combination of true and false information.
