The U.S President has clearly said that Trump administration didn’t eliminate the military option to terminate the current government of Venezuela. It has been considered the U.S failure to eliminate the leadership of Venezuela using protests and people power. The foreign minister of Venezuela, Jorge Arreaza has reminded South Africans during current week in his 5-day visit. Arreaza said that the U.S President Trump announced the military option on 8th August 2017. He arranged a meeting with his then-secretary of state Rex Tillerson and national security adviser HR McMaster. He asked them that why the U.S doesn’t finish off the President of Venezuela Nicolas Madura using a military operation. Arreaza added that Tillerson and McMaster tried to convince Trump for not initiating any military action.

Trump has now changed its policy makers with ultra right wing neo-conservatives, the U.S Secretary of State Mike Pompeo and U.S National Security Adviser John Bolton. They both are more extreme as compared to previous predecessors and they might follow the instructions of Trump. They also support the Trump’s option about military action in Venezuela. An official of the U.S administration said that the United States will use its entire available resources to overthrow the Venezuelan government. The U.S needs to stifle the economy of Venezuela in order to push the people of Venezuela towards internal civil conflict. The United States has been preventing Venezuela from reaching funding sources and interrupted the international trade of the country. It will also create a shortage of food, medicines, and other essential goods.
