Trump said Putin was involved in Russian Poisonings
The U.S President Trump has rejected Russian poisonings, such as the Salisbury novichok attacks because they didn’t take place in the United States. He delivered his words in an interview broadcast on Sunday evening. Trump admitted that Vladimir Putin was “probably” behind such assassination attempts. But he added that he didn’t want to be any tougher on the Russian leader, he said, “I rely on them and it’s not in our country”.
Trump was speaking to the CBS 60 Minutes program, Trump refused that he was afraid to criticize the Russian regime. He said, “People don’t understand why you never have a harsh word for Vladimir Putin”. The veteran American journalist, Lesley Stahl asked him during the program, “I don’t understand it”. Trump rejected he had sent Ukraine weapons and tank killers to aid its war against Russian-backed separatists in the east. He said, “Obama didn’t. You know what he sent? He sent pillows and blankets”.
Obama turned down Ukrainian requests for weapons in 2014 but instead agreed a $53m package of aid, including $46m of non-lethal military equipment such as body armor and night-vision goggles. Trump said that he believes Putin was personally involved in directing Russian assassination attempts and poisonings. He added, “Probably he is, yeah, probably. But I rely on them because it’s not in our country”. The intelligence agencies of America also believe that the regime of Putin tried to interrupt the U.S election 2016 in the favor of Trump.
