Veterans Affairs Secretary Shulkin will be Next Target of Trump
The U.S President Donald Trump has shown his discouragement to his Secretary of Veterans Affairs, Dr. David Shulkin. The source has indicated that Trump has planned to replace him. On Monday, Trump discussed his dissatisfaction during lunch at White House with the Secretary of Energy Rick Perry. This statement came a day before the U.S President terminated U.S Secretary of State Rex Tillerson. The U.S President Trump discussed health issues about Veterans with the Secretary of Energy (former governor of Texas) Rick Perry. The source also predicted that Perry could replace Shulkin, but Trump hasn’t yet asked Perry to take over Veterans Affairs. The U.S President discussed termination of Shulkin, but it is still under consideration.
58-years old David Shulkin is a physician and former administrator of a hospital. He has become involved in internal disputes with the officials of Trump administration. Shulkin joined the office in February 2017 carrying unified and combine vote by the U.S Senate. He served as undersecretary for health overseeing medical facilities being managed by the Veterans Affairs, during Obama administration. The VA provides care for at least 9 million registered veterans. Point to be noted that a couple of weeks ago, conservative attorneys for Veterans showed their entire support to Shulkin. But, the situation changed when the inspector general of the agency said that he illegally used government funds during a trip to Europe and his chief of staff tried to hide it. It is important that Shulkin already complained and said publicly that some forces want to push him out.
